POAMA/ACCESS Seasonal Forecast System

Monthly technical meetings

Purpose

Discuss progress and coordinate development of POAMA/ACCESS seasonal prediction systems.

Topics covered include:

• Development of POAMA-1.5/2 systems
• POAMA 1.5/2 hind-casts, including assessment of results/skill etc
• Assessment of new components of ACCESS system for seasonal prediction (e.g. UKMO atmospheric model)
• Ocean and coupled data assimilation and ocean modelling for seasonal prediction (now under ACCESS)
• Ensemble generation
• Downscaling, bridging, statistical post processing
• Core products and data management
  Operational system

These meetings will be of very technical nature, agenda will be sent a few days before.
