POAMA-1.5 Hindcasts and Forecasts on openDAP Server
Introduction
POAMA-1.5 hindcast and realtime data are now available on an openDAP server. The data is made available for research collaboration only.
At this stage no documentation has been produced, so you'll have to trial yourself.
Data available
Type Period Details forecasts July 2007 Onwards, one forecast per day Realtime forecasts, which are run one per day. Most products involve putting together forecasts for the last 30 days to form an ensemble. Ensemble members are denoted e01, e02 etc and the ensemble mean is emn hindcasts 1980-2006, 10 member ensemble + ensemble mean starting on 1st of each month Comprehensive set of hind-casts model climatologies One set for each start month, starting on the first of the month Model climatologies in same format as the forecasts and hindcasts. These can be used to creat forecast anomalies and therefore removing model biases. Each set starts on the first of the month. Note, for realtime forecasts starting on different days of the month, one should interpolate the two surrounding climatologies starting on the first of the month. Netcdf data files available
